EPIC WOMEN'S MINISTRY

Women encouraging one another to love God deeply through prayer, Gospel-centered teaching, and events that promote spiritual growth.

Our women's ministry re-launched this Spring.   This past Fall, as our women's ministry team began planning for the relaunch, they came across a survey done by Lifeway, just last year.  Lifeway surveyed over 800 women about all sorts of things related to Women’s Ministry. They  put out 4 reports with many interesting results.  But one result stood out.  It was the TOP ANSWER in the survey.  It was that 71% of the women surveyed indicated that "growing closer to Jesus" was one of the things they wanted from women’s ministry.    It’s not community or social gatherings that women place as a priority (although these too are great). But right to the heart of it all, women want to grow closer to Jesus. It's the best thing we can ever have or desire.  But how do we get there?  And how can Women’s Ministry help to accomplish this?
First, we have a mission.    Our mission statement is Women encouraging one another to love God deeply through prayer, Gospel-centered teaching, and events that promote spiritual growth.   We want to be women who are there for each other, in good times and bad. And we want to be women who help each other grow in Christ.  But most of all, we want to be women who desire to love God with all of themselves.
The women's ministry team selected our scripture focus for the year: You shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart and all of your soul and all of your mind. Matthew  22:37.  We believe that loving God with everything we have is the foundational for growing closer to Him.
We will have several women's ministry events throughout the year. These include a service opportunity, summer book club, and fall retreat.  In addition, we'll have monthly prayer gatherings called Pray First.  Read more about our prayer initiative below.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  Matthew 22:37

 Saturday Night Serving

Join us for a fun evening of getting to know other EPIC women and serving the community.  We have a few projects planned, which will take place at EPIC. Please answer the two registration questions.  If you would like (not required), bring an appetizer or dessert to share so we can snack while we work.  We're excited to have you join us!

Summer Book Club

We can't wait to dive into Jerry Bridges "Respectable Sins" for summer book club.   Bridges "addresses a dozen clusters of specific "acceptable" sins that we tend to tolerate in ourselves...such as anger, jealousy, judgementalism, selfishness, and pride."  We'll meet for 8 weeks, offering a one and a half hour morning or evening session.  Information about days and times coming soon.   Respectable Sins is available on Audible and Hoopla (if you like to listen).  Purchase a paperback copy HERE.
Please let us know if you are interested in coming and if you'd prefer day or evening.  You are welcome to switch between groups, if that works best for your schedule.  Join us!
